Last night on twitter, Aaron Carter decided to tell his followers that he wants his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff back. He started by retweeting a picture of Hilary, and then went on to write about how he misses the “love of his life.” Hilary, who recently split with her husband and the father of her child, Mike Comrie, dated Aaron on and off from 2001 to 2003… until he left her for Lindsay Lohan. The Hilary-Lindsay-Aaron triangle was epic, and created the infamous feud between the two most famous disney stars at the time, Hil and Linds.

I know these tweets are probably making the Lizzie McGuire inside your head freak out right now.

But if you think about it, it’s hard to believe Hilary is the love of Aaron’s life because they were 13 when they started dating, even though there was undeniable chemistry when he guest starred on Lizzie McGuire (Sidenote: Miranda was such a third-wheel).

Personally, I think Aaron has a better chance of getting Lindsay back. While Hilary stayed sane, Aaron and Lindsay both spent time on drugs and in rehab. If that’s not true love, I don’t know what is. Aaron could even make a career comeback on Lindsay’s new reality show, “Lindsay,” which premieres on the Oprah network this weekend.

And Aaron– if you don’t want Lindsay, you can always continue trying to make I Want Candy happen again.
